Anne Daye teaches and publishes widely on 16th - 19th century dance, with an extensive experience of leading summer schools and workshops. She is Lecturer in Dance History at Laban and also visiting teacher of historical dance at Trinity College of Music and RADA. Anne is Chairman of DHDS. Her doctoral thesis on the Jacobean masque drew upon research in dance documents, music, history, literature and design.

This workshop will offer an insight into the life of Jane Austen through the dances she that she knew. Anne has extensively researched the Austen family music books and letters as well as the novels. The dances taught will be a selection of country dances, cotillions and reels from Anne's ongoing researches. The Austen Allegros have recorded the music that will be used.
Cost per person: £10.00 for members of DHDS or Herts Early Dance. £15.00 for non-members.
